Marty Robbin’s Magnum
06 of February 2009
Marty Robbins
In 1978, Country & Western Star NASCAR driver (from 1965 until just before his death) was driving the #42 Magnum for Cotten Owens. Later in the year when Kyle moved up to Winston Cup — Marty gave up Lee Petty’s old number #42 to Kyle — as a favor to the King. Marty was faithful to Mopar to the end — racing J-Bodied Cordobas and Imperials after the Magnums.
